Ban Joe Rogan now!

Profiting from the distribution of deadly misinformation is immoral and shameful! I am a paying subscriber and if you don't remove him I will leave.Profiting from the distribution of deadly misinformation is immoral and shameful! Another paying subscriber leaving Spotify for a platform that supports the art of music and not Faux News. Ps. It was easy to find a way to export my playlists.

I can't help but do support you.  I think ill be going to Tidal.

For transition, I hope to employ my daughtsers to re-create all my playlists and such.

Update: went to Tidal but they pretty much promote soft p orn in their videos and I could not share account with my daughters.  Add to that no other music service is compatible with my network streamer... I'm then stuck with Spotify.

Is it really, so hard to believe that they kept the one that "probably" makes them more money. Spotify is a business that streams audio. All this hate about one opinion podcast is unfounded.

Yeah, so word of mouth from people on social media then? What are you talking about though? He's had a podcast for a long time. Spotify signed him away, and hyperpolitical narcissists decided to turn him into a boogeyman overnight that they can make themselves feel good by hating on all the time. Perfect distraction from their own lies and misinformation. If you think Rogan should be banished from public life for getting some things wrong, I've got news for his detractors. This censorship push is insane. There's a lot of people out there telling us who they really were in their pasts.

"He's giving a platform to dangerous lies." The biggest lies and misinformation comes from our government and media. And you think Rogan is the bad guy.

"I get pretty **bleep** off if his antics get in the way of music" If you think the antics are coming from Joe Rogan, there's probably nothing any neutral person with common sense can tell you to make you second guess yourself. You're either for free thought and discussion, or you're not. Why would people in the right be against free thought? They wouldn't.

Way to go all. It is nice to see how fast people give up their right to free speech and freewill. These ironically were ideals that Neil Young stood for in the 60's. It is also ironic that this washed up has been now thinks opposite. It is also scary to see how easily people can be influence to give up their basic rights of listening to various points of view and yes even different music. Simple solution if you don't like Joe Rogan ... DON"T LISTEN TO HIM. But don't tell me what I can and can't listen to. I will continue to be a subscriber to Spotify as long as they do not cave into simple minded people, flat earther people like you all this on this thread. Oh yeah same goes for you Joni Mitchel whiners as well.

I hope this will come and bite Spotify in the **bleep**.. Neil Young , Joni Mitchell and more to follow.  Spotify have put money before art ... but it is art that they are trying to spread or used to be,   now it is lyes and dangerous ones that they are selling, they have sold their soul to missinformation .... SHAME on you Spotify.

Spotify needs to take seriously its public responsibility to NOT give a platform to misinformation. Freedom of speech comes with accountability for that speech. If you shout fire in a crowded theatre when there is no fire, you are accountable for hurting people by causing a false panic. Rogan and all who support misinformation (about verified facts) need to be held accountable. Spotify stop spreading harmful lies.

The door has to start closing for that to happen, the line of people leaving is keeping it wide open.. you could hold the door for us though..🤪

Hahaha..  Ummm you better recount who that majority is AND Trump won the election right??🤣

Thank you for verifying who you are,  how's things at Qanon?? 🤣

I don't rely on word of mouth. I make my own decisions. As far as 'relying
on govt. & media' is concerned, they are impossible to avoid but I do my
best to get as wide a view as possible through my own reading and meeting
as many real people as possible. What I don't do is rely on being spoon fed
pre-selected news and views by subscribing to social media - so no Twitter,
Facebook etc. If you actually read my reply, you will see that nowhere did
I mention taking Rogan off air. I've listened to quite a few of his
podcasts and - as I said in my original reply - I made my own decision that
the best solution if I don't like him is not to listen to him. If others
want to waste their time tuning into him then that's their decision. You go
on about freedom of thought and opinion and then rant when someone
exercises that right. He's not funny, not even entertaining and offers
little insight other than into the workings of his own mind. In my opinion,
he is also giving vent to some seriously misguided views about Covid etc. I
just don't have time for that and it goes against a lot of more
experienced, better informed people than him. But he has the right to spout
rubbish if he wants to just as much as I have the right to ignore him. Of
course, the cash on offer from Spotify makes it very lucrative rubbish for
him (so his motives are not neutral) and the more outrageous the views =
more clicks, more publicity for Spotify. As for me, I am interested in the
music and that's why I subscribed to Spotify. If Rogan is going to get in
the way of that then I'll just shift my subscription and be done with it -
Rogan and all.

Quit Spotify. Seriously. They've lied and silenced opposing voices, but it's become clear they will never let us users mute/hide/block podcasts and they will always want to promote their money-making Joe Rogan, even as I'm seeing unvaccinated patients citing his dangerous podcast as they come into the ICU with COVID. They won't ever give up money to do the right thing. Quit.

I've had unvaccinated patients cite Joe Rogan as the reason they didn't get vaccinated as they come into the ICU for COVID. His content is literally killing people.

I am about to cancel my Spotify subscription. I cannot support the peddling of misinformation about COVID to a vulnerable audience. This type of willful ignorance is contributing to the unnecessary deaths of  thousands of unvaccinated Americans. There is a war between humans and the coronavirus that has killed many more Americans than World War I, World War II and the Vietnam War combined. We cannot be free to live normally until we defeat the virus. I enjoy Spotify. But I consider it my patriotic duty to make this small sacrifice in order to fight for freedom and for the lives of my fellow citizens.

It's totally irresponsible. He is not funny and he is giving succour to
some seriously misguided views. In the end, people have to make up their
own mind as to what they listen to but for my part, I will no longer listen
to Rogan and it is reprehensible in the extreme that Spotify is cashing in
on this sort of rubbish (of course Rogan is cashing in also to the tune of
$100mn)!

This is why I just canceled Spotify and switched to apple music. They are giving 3 months free trial right now. No I am saving money and listening to Neil Young

i Have Spotify and I enjoy using it but I don,t like the removal of Neil Young and now Joni Mitchel thinking of joining Mr. Young's departure.

I think that politics should stay out of this  site.

If this continues there won,t be anything for me to listen to which then I will have to cancel my subscription here.

I don,t want  to do that.

I am a concerned listener and enjoy the way the music here sounds.

I thank you..  Norman Bloom

been on the platform like almost a decade, but if Joni Mitchell is not available because spotify choses to allow yelling political fire in a crowded theatre over a music icon like Joni (or Neil for that matter), then I will head over to Apple Music where at least the music verses podcast debate is a non issue.

A Spotify without Neil Young and Joni Mitchell would be worth nothing to me. Even with a collection of more than 75000 tracks (less than 1000 artists). I came to Spotify due to regular crash bugs in Amazon Music and re-entered my collection. Today I'm looking for a replacement for Spotify and am ready to re-enter my collection again.
