Profiting from the distribution of deadly misinformation is immoral and shameful! I am a paying subscriber and if you don't remove him I will leave.Profiting from the distribution of deadly misinformation is immoral and shameful! Another paying subscriber leaving Spotify for a platform that supports the art of music and not Faux News. Ps. It was easy to find a way to export my playlists.
To be clear. It's not about politics. It's about spreading deadly falsehoods and me not wanting to support lies and
antisense rhetoric with my hard earned dollars. Clearly, you see everything through a political lens. Liberal or Conservative has nothing to do with telling people smoking is healthy or that drunk driving is your right. Time to wake up America. You've been hypnotized by entities that are profiting from deadly misinformation.
Love Spotify but don't support Joe Rogan. Misinformation is dangerous and we need to unite against it and hoping Spotify does the right thing. I'll come back when they get rid of Roguen.
He endorses lies and are help simple conspiraytheories.
Most cilivised countries hace laws regarding free speech.
Get him out !!
And I don't give a dam about Your Donkeys and Elephants.
And the country is los to thoose screaming higest with the most hateful conspiraytheory.
The rest of the world laughs.
And Spotify was founded in Sweden....

I’ve been premium wine launch in the US and encouraged many others to do so because of the incredible music catalogue.
so sad to learn they take music profits and pay $100m for a podcast, instead of innovations for music fans like higher quality streams.
looks like it’s time for another distro platform that’s focused on music.
Paid speech is not free speech and free speech does not mean speech free from consequences. Rogan needs to be flagged - even by Spotify's weak standards.
Thank you Neil and Joni for bringing widespread attention to Spotify’s tolerance of dangerous propaganda.
I'm a physician who has cared for over 1,000 covid patients the past two years and, whatever you might think is hard about the job with patient deaths, personal danger and uncomfortable PPE, the most difficult thing is that the level of anger at our public health efforts is off the charts.
I don’t expect that losing our family’s business (nor the relative handful of others who care enough to change music services) will change Spotify’s editorial policies or Joe Rogan. I’m sure Neil and Joni don’t think change will happen here either. The hope is that the attention this little protest brings might save a few lives only by causing some folks to think.
Please remove Joe Rogan from Spotify
I will move to Tidal and Apple Music as many others are already doing, if nothing is done about Rogans misinformation.
I am not hear to dispute your opinion of Joe Rogan. I am here to tell you straight up I do not agree with your desire to enact authoritarianism over my free choice to listen to whomever I wish to. I feel quite confident with my ability to pick through truth and fiction. The simple truth is that Neil Young does not offer any new or valid content, he does not offer ever evolving subject matter nor does he have the sheer amount if fans that Mr. Rogan does. If Mr. Rogan were to be subjected to censorship to make the rest of you comfortable, I am pretty sure the fans would protest and spotify would not like all those people finding other venues. And we would. Your thinking and ours are not compatible, so do NOT tune into Mr. Rogan. That's the beauty of freedom of choice and information. You do not have to ever hear him if YOU do not tune in.
Hello - my name is Jon Heidar Ragnheidarson. I have been a Spotify subscriber for years, and until now, I have been a big fan of the service. However, I want to call attention to Spotify giving a platform to anti-vaxers, such as was done in the Joe Rogan show. By doing so, the service is directly putting many people at risk and prolonging the Covid 19 pandemic. Spotify should pull all such nonsense from its platform and apologize.
You are missing the point. I am free to listen to whoever I want to on Spotify and if I do they get paid a very tiny amount of my monthly subscription. Spotify have chosen to take some of my monthly subscription and give it to a person who has at points peddled dangerous lies about covid vaccinations. I had no choice over that.
My only choice therefore if they are not willing to end his payment is the cancel Spotify.
Freedom of choice means that I don't have to say listen to Gary Glitter a convicted child abuser but whose music is still on Spotify. I want to listen to Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. I now can't because Spotify has chosen to pay a podcaster based not on how many people listen to him but based just on him existing.
Sorry I thought I was directly replying to the post prior to mine, instead it appears I replied to yours!
Yes.. check out this "art".
Do you think Joni's blackface phase is what inspired Trudeau?
Funny how none of the people taking a stand are doing it in the way they got famous for... by writing music. I wonder why 🤔
Both of these "artists" should go on Joe Rogan's show and tell the world, in their own words, why they think being able to speak freely is so very dangerous. Something tells me they don't have the first clue what they're talking about... much like the people in these threads.
That letter that inspired Neil Young? Total nonsense: fewer than 100 of them were actual doctors practicing medicine. It was a hoax designed for this exact purpose. If anything, you should be mad for being misled by the mainstream media pushing this lie (who is just jealous JR gets more viewers than they do.. that's all this is about, and you're simply a tool being used in the process).
There is plenty of "questionable" content/artists on Spotify that none of you seemed to have an issue with until you were told to by corporate media. Leaving Spotify for another platform isn't going to solve anything, as those problematic artists are there too. Think about that for 2 seconds.
BTW: were you aware that in 1931 a booklet of writings from authors and scientists against Einstein's Theory of Relativity was published titled Hundert Autoren gegen Einstein (Hundred Authors against Einstein)?
I can just imagine both Neil Young and Blackface Joni tripping over themselves to contribute to that.
ALSO: Ignaz Semmelweis, the guy who first theorized that hand-washing could prevent "childbirth fever" (Puerperal fever) at a time when 1 out of 100 women died in/after childbirth, also had many influential men criticize his findings.
I guess I can see why Joni might not want to wash her hands after spending all that time blacking up, but I wonder how many of you would scoff at the idea just because someone famous told you to... hmmm, starting to see why you think Joe is so dangerous.
Maybe you need to stop valuing the supposed opinions of celebrities so much and actually do some of the work needed in finding the truth yourself.
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
