Permission is missing for Player devices API

Have an oauth application that authenticates with the users Spotify account. Trying to make the following API call but we keep getting Permission is missing error: https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/reference/get-a-users-available-devices

Have included the following API scope required to make this call but still get the same error - user-read-playback-state

Any insight or thoughts on how to resolve this?

I have the same problem with Spotify offered interface. I'm giving the correct scope but still get the error.
