Using a Spotify API project for a portfolio

Hi all, 

I've recently built a small app using the Spotify API to teach myself API integration and the like. 

However, it's difficult to use that in my portfolio since I have to add users manually for them to use it. Does anyone have any ideas for how I might be able to display it publicly (aside from linking to the Github repo and telling them to deploy it themselves :D?)

At the dashboard of your app, you have to submit a quota extension request by clicking the green Requirements Extension link.

That was my first thought, but looking at the requirements I don't think what I've made would count. I would have thought it would fall under the 'hobby project' category. And since it's only a simple search/play app I'm not sure if it falls under III.11 of the Developer Policy (Your product or service must add independent value or functionality that improves users’ interactions with Spotify.) If anyone can clarify these points, though, I'd be most appreciative.

It's the only way you don't have to add the accounts manually and make your app publicly available. Submitting a quota extension is the only option.

Fair enough. I guess I've got nothing to lose so I might as well give it a try. I just wasn't sure if there was another option I was missing.
