Basic plan

Basic plan

I am not interested in audiobooks and then then being forced into my subscription is why I cancelled. I now see basic plans that perfectly fir my needs but I'm ineligible even after resubscribing to a premium account at the recommendation of the support staff. It is not available.

Hey @Sniperson,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Unfortunately, the Basic plan isn’t available to everyone by default. It’s only offered to accounts that meet certain eligibility requirements.

For example, you’d need to have had an active Premium subscription at the time of a recent price change in your country, along with a few other criteria in the background.

If you don’t see the Basic plan as an option under your account settings, it simply means your account isn’t eligible at the moment. You can always review the plans currently available to you by logging into your account page.

Hope this helps clear things up! 🙂

What are the actual requirements to have basic available. Seems a simple question, but I haven't been able to find the answer.

It's absurd that subscribers have to achieve "eligibility" for the privilege of not paying for services we don't use. If Spotify can't figure out how to make this an option for me, I will be switching back to Pandora
