Change from a carrier subscription to individual account

I have been subscribed to an individual account (tied to a carrier - indosat) in Indonesia. I have now moved country - to Singapore - and am trying to change payment to credit card. The system only offers me a family account, which I don't need. There is no option for an individual account. How can I change the payment info without changing my plan? Please help me resolve this.

In that case, it's better to delete your payment info before changing countries. You will still be Premium until the remaining days of your subscription are used up.

What I'm suggesting you to do is this:

1. Go to your Subscription page.

2. Click UPDATE under Payment Info. If it shows below 'Would you like to cancel your subscription?' click there and cancel.

3. Check the box to 'Remove', and click 'Change' button,

Note: If you have your Premium active you won't be able to remove your payment info. That's why it's important to cancel before removing your payment info.

After you've removed your payment info, change your country in profile (if you need to), and resubscribe to Premium with the new card info to ensure that your subscription will renew correctly when it's time.

Your payment card country must match your country in profile, and the country of your IP address. 🙂

Hey @lodhz

If you're getting your subscription through your (old) mobile provider, it's them who cancel the service, since it's them who charge you for it in the first place.

Your Spotify account gets linked to your mobile number and that's it. No payment info is recorded in Spotify's systems, and therefore no charges can be made by them.

If you receive or have received Spotify payment receipts, then you can cancel in your subscription page.

Hope it helps. 🙂
