My Question or Issue

After being charged 9.99 for a premium account I realised I needed to renew my student plan to 5.99. Fair enough, I forgot. But then I got charged an additional 5.99 when I changed?? So i've been charged 9.99 and an extra 5.99 for renewing my plan.

This can't be right!

Thanks for the post.

 

A notification email about the Student subscription expiring is automatically sent to the email address associated with your account a month before the discount expires. You can check your Spam/ Junk folder as well. Note that, if you've ever bloacked emails from spotify or marked them as junk, you might have not received one.

 

What may have happened is that your student discount expired and your subscription was automatically updated to Premium Individual, at that point your account has been charged the full price. However after activating your student discount again, the next payment shouldn't go through for another 30 days. Regarding refunds, you can check this Support Article for more info.
