My Question or Issue

Hi, does anyone know if spotify saves my playlists if I change my plan from premium to free for about 6 months, and then change back to premium?

I get access to another music plan for those six months for free, and don’t see the point of paying double, but I don’t want to risk losing my music.

Hi @Hvalsoe86,

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

No worries, changing subscription plans  won’t cause you to lose your playlists or saved music.

You can cancel your Premium plan by following these steps:

  1. Log into your account
  2. Under Your plan, click CHANGE PLAN.
  3. Scroll to Spotify Free and click CANCEL PREMIUM.

When you'd like to sign up for Spotify Premium again, you can do so here.

You can read also about the differences between Spotify free and Spotify Premium plans in this support article.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!
