have you had any luck on this. i am trying to upgrade from premium individual to basic duo and getting nowhere. it won't even let me post a new topic on this subject

It sounds like you're, unfortunately, not eligible for a Basic plan then. If you can tell me in which country you're located, then I can check the eligiblity requirements. 🙂

While I'm unable to share the exact requirements to be eligible, but you must've had active Premium plan before a certain cut-off date in May of this year, and this subscription must still be active now.
In cases where a user switches from a Premium to a Basic plan and then to a Premium plan again, they'll also lose eligibility.

I was part of 2 premium family plans before I set up my premium duo.
Is there no way to contact Spotify customer service to request this change?

Support can only check if you're eligible, but if you're already not seeing the Basic plan on the page I shared earlier, chances are very high you're definitely not eligible.

As mentioned earlier, one of the requirements to be eligible is to have an active subscription which has started at some point in May of this year.
Since May is before June, you're, unfortunately, not eligible for any of the Basic plans.
