When purchasing the extra listening hours for audio books, is the $12.99 fee for the entire year?  Or per month.  Thank you

Hi @bourjman, and welcome to the Community.

Spotify Premium users get 15 hours of audiobook listening per month included in their subscription. If you use up those 15 hours, you can buy extra listening time:

• 10-hour top-up: $12.99 

• These top-ups last for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Keep in mind that only the plan manager (not other members) on Premium Duo or Premium Family can use the audiobook hours.

Ok - please confirm that it is a ONE time charge of $12.99 for the entire year.  And not $12.99 per month.  The answer just says the pop up is $12.99 and lasts for 12 months from the date of purchase - doesn't quite answer my question. Thank you

Hi @bourjman,

The $12.99 fee for additional audiobook listening hours on Spotify in the U.S. is a one-time purchase, not a monthly or annual subscription. This top-up provides 10 extra hours of audiobook listening time, which remain valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, as long as you maintain an active Premium subscription.

These top-up hours are utilized only after you've exhausted the 15 monthly hours included with your Premium plan. If you don't use all your top-up hours within a month, the unused hours carry over until they expire or are used up.

It's important to note that this top-up is not a recurring charge; you're billed only when you choose to purchase additional hours. If you cancel your Premium subscription, you'll lose access to any remaining top-up hours unless you resubscribe within 12 months of the purchase.

In order to purchase top-up hours you should first log in to your account on the Account Page here. Then, under Subscription, select Audiobook listening time > under Top-ups, select Top up.
