I DO NOT HAVE A SPOTIFY ACCOUNT.... I am being CHARGED TWICE A MONTH for a spotify that I DO NOT HAVE...
There isn't a number to call for help. I had to create an account just to get help from chat and I still haven't gotten help... THIS IS FRAUD......
Hey @Smarterjohn76 ,
Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community.
I recommend checking if you have multiple Spotify accounts and if you do, cancelling any active subscriptions on them.
If you're unable to locate any other account, you can use one of Spotify's support channels listed here to get in touch in order to cancel the subscription(s).
You'll there need to provide the details for the original account you've created in order to stop the charges.
Let me know how it goes 🙂
A profile was created under my name and I didn't know until my credit card showed a charge last month. The hacker created the account through my FB and had been trying to use my business credit card since April when it finally went through twice with Spotify.
I terminated the account immediately but my credit card fraud department says Spotify has to recognize this fraud also. I can't call or email Spotify and have had to create an account even to send this help message. This is absurd!!!! I have never had Spotify and do not want Spotify. I need to get my credit resolved and the charges reimbursed for illegal activity. I also emailed a request to Hacker One to investigate.
Please revert with a proper way to resolve actionable misrepresentation of my image/ identification and business banking relationship which has now been terminated by the bank for this hacker using my identity freely. I'm appalled I can't speak to someone.
Thank God I screen shot this reply because the first an unexpected error occured. What the **bleep** is good with this app and the trouble I'm having as an individual wanting NOTHING to do with it!!!! Rectify all of this mess!!!!

After we broke up, I discovered my ex was using my credit cards on multiple spotify accounts (one for her new man's daughter!) I contacted Spotify through their chat portal and they were very very helpful. Make sure to have your credit card # (they'll ask for the first 6 and last 4 digits), the date and amount of the charge(s), and if possible the fraudster's account name or email address. If you don't have the fraudster's info, it will just take a little longer for them to track down the account but all-told it took about 10 minutes to resolve. Good luck!
Replying to this, because my mother is in the same EXACT position. There were fraudulent Spotify charges on her CC for 2-3 months. The CC company said to contact Spotify, but she CAN'T contact Spotify because she doesn't have an account. What kind of company requires an account to contact support?
What's worse is that after she cancelled her card and got a new one, the fraud charge CONTINUED on the new card, and she had to cancel that one as well!
Hi @palexkrupnik,
Thank you for your reply in this thread.
If you have a Spotify account we suggest that you you help her contact our customer support through your account here so that it can be solved for your mother.
Let us know how it goes.
Take care!
I realize this is an old thread, but I need to vent. I dont have a spotify sccount. Never have. Someone used my credit card to set up an account. I've contacted spotify 3 times and been promised a credit each time. On the 2nd inquiry, they gave me a reference number which i discovered on my 3rd contact was complete bs. Rep just s abruptly ended the chat. Customer service is trained to blow smoke and force you to contact them over and over through their stupid chat tool. The topper was, after telling me she couldnt find any details about my issue, rep said she could see I was due a credit and offered to give it to me in 7 months of spotify. wth? Who is running this company? Dirtbag thieves.
Hey @Pissedoffatu,
Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.
We apologize if this may cause any inconvenience. That's not the experience we want you to have when contacting our service teams. But if the subscription wasn't made by you, it could be found with the payment information to be canceled and refunded.
However, since we don't have access to user accounts from the Community, we'd recommend contacting our Customer support team again so they can look for the payment and help you further. If you recently changed the card number or the plastic, its better to have the original and previous numbers handy in case they requested them to keep looking.
Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
