My Question or Issue
I recently got a Spotify Premium Subscription to order the Google Home Mini and I got the email to redeem. I went to redeem and it took me to a screen saying the "order was cancelled" immediately after I finished checkout. I got an email saying it was because they were unable to "verify some of my information".
I contacted the Google Store support and they told me all I can do is contact Spotify and try to get a new code because "Spotify manages this offer entirely on their own".
I reach out to Spotify and they told me they would pass this to a specialist team and I would be contacted in 24 hrs.
I got this email a couple of days later:
This is a follow up email regarding the Google Home Mini offer.
We've investigated this with Google and we’re unable to provide you with a new code. Google Store should have sent an email regarding the order cancellation reason. Unfortunately, we don’t have any more information our end.
If you have any questions we recommend contacting Google Store directly.
If there's anything else we can help you with, just let us know."
I reached out to Google again and they told me what they said before, that Spotify is the only party that can resolve this by issuing me a new code to redeem. This is getting beyond frustrating.
So Spotify is just not going to honour the deal that they advertise? The only reason I got Premium was for this offer and now the company responsible says they won't follow through? I feel like I've been scammed here.

Search consumer complaint Canada. The website advised me to email them once again with all the detail. Once they replied back saying they cant help me, I replied back saying "ok thats great ill be filing a report now have a good day" a day later i was refunded lol
