My Question or Issue

What does this mean:
"We have clarified that you may only access the version of the Spotify service available where you live at the applicable price set for that version of the service."

Can someone clarify?

Hey @BobGohd, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

That clause means that Spotify clarifies and makes terms more clear on how Spotify is operated between different regions. It means that you can only use Spotify in the country where your account is registered, and that you must pay the subscription price that’s set in that respective country. You can view the full terms here

I hope this clears things up!

**bleep** about the modified Terms of use! Is this domain legit? I am wondering because I clicked a link in the message! Then I saw something Spotify wrote somewhere: "An email is considered suspicious if the sender's email address does not end in "@spotify.com", or if you are unsure about it." Do you happen to know if that was a real Spotify email?

Thanks a lot!

I received an email from a domain looking quite like spotify.com but preceded by legal. right after @

Is it legit? The email was received yesterday the 10th and it is about modifications in the Terms of use.

The part after @ is a domain name just like the ones used to access normal web pages. What goes before the period is the sub-domain of the domain spotify.com and you would need access to spotify.com in order to set it up.

Hey @Musimassimiliano and @VoQZ,

Thanks for posting to the Community and for sharing the screenshot of what you saw. I can confirm that this is a legit email from Spotify since it contains @legal.spotify.com or @spotify.com, which means that it’s an official domain owned by Spotify.

You can find the updated Terms here for your reference.

Have a great day!
