Not Eligible for Basic Duo

Not Eligible for Basic Duo

I really want Basic Duo since I do not, have not and will not listen to audiobooks. It's a waste of money and I hate paying for it. Whoever sued Spotify over it was smart. In any case, I'm not eligible for Basic Duo. Apparently, you can't subscribe to it if you've canceled it before.
I haven't canceled it before though. I looked back at my order history, and I see that it failed. Something obviously happened with my PayPal account, and it didn't get charged so the payment failed. BUT I didn't cancel it PURPOSEFULLY. And Spotify specifically says I must have CANCELLED it to be ineligible.

What I'm saying is that failed charged shouldn't count as me cancelling the service because ANY OTHER TIME a charge is failed for Spotify, my account is continuously charged until a payment goes through. But suspiciously enough, they only tried ONE TIME for the Basic Duo plan. It almost seems like they don't want me to have it at all. Like they need it to cancel to make sure I'm not eligible EVER for Basic Duo despite the fact that I WILL NOT EVER listen to audiobooks.

If I can't get Basic Duo or nothing is done to fix this.....I guess Spotify wants another class action lawsuit.

My order history showing the failed transaction for Basic Duo & no history of buying audiobooks.

Hey @lynngandy11,

Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear about what happened with your Basic Duo plan.

You're correct, a failed charge doesn't count as you cancelling your subscription intentionally. In this case, it's best to reach out to our colleagues from chat/email support, as they're the ones who can take a closer look at this and assist you further.
