Premium expires if device is offline but you are still charged

For my work i spent 42 days at sea earlier this year and at some point my premium account stopped working and i counld't listen to my off-line music. The problem was that i still got charged for the service! It was also quite unfair because the system basically blocks your music and i was still paying, and second i wasted so much time preparing for my trip cleaning my phone to have enough space and downloading songs and filtering them. It was very disappointing and unfair. Because I will be back at sea and this is likely to happen again, i wonder how could this issue be avoided.

Hey @Pabloe1982, welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear you've run into this inconvenience.

Right now, Sptoify needs to go back online every 30 days to update the play count, that's how artists get paid for the offline plays.

The only way to avoid this from happening, is briefly turning off Offline while you have an internet connection, either data or WiFi. The days should refresh and you won't have any trouble anymore.

You can find all the information about this here, under "Why do I need to go online every 30 days?"

All the best.
