Spotify Duos doesn't work independently

My Question or Issue

My wife and I previously only had the one account but I found driving home I couldn't listen to Spotify in the car or at home if she was using.
For this reason we upgraded to Duo. My wife has been added but we're still experiencing not being able to plan independently.

 

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Welcome to the Spotify Community, and thanks for reaching out to us here!

On Premium Duo, you and your partner should have access to two individual Spotify accounts. This doesn't mean that you will share the same Spotify account. Knowing that, just to make sure we are on the same page, I recommend that you double check if she is using her own account, instead of yours and vice versa.
