My Question or Issue

I was subscribed to the Premium for Students plan last year, and I was not notified that I need to renew my subscription every year. I just renewed and proved that I am a student, so I will be charged the student price from now on (for a year). Although future charges for the next year are student prices, my charges for this year (up until now) have been standard Premium price. Is there any way I can be refunded the price difference? Although Spotify is incredibly clear about this renewal policy on the actual subscription plan page itself, they do not take the time to email subscribers of the need to renew in order to retain better pricing. I feel as if this practice is a bit dishonest, since I do not regularly check my Spotify subscription plan on my account or charge statements.

Welcome to the Community and thank you for bringing this up with us.

 

We send out an email when a user's discount is expiring one month before it does. We recommend checking your inbox and Spam folders to see if you've received it.

 

It's also a good idea to check if the email on your Spotify account is correct.
