Q: where can I check if my student credentials are transferred to my new account?

 

Hi,

 

I recently got help changing my account from logging in with facebook to using email+password via spotify chat. (So I dont have to open fb everytime I log in). The very friendly customer service guy transferred all my playlists to the new account AND also my student credentials. 

 

However, my account says I still have to pay $9.99 (full) instead of the $4.99 student discount. I cannot verify my student credentials again since I did that with my earlier fb account (which is now closed, he erased it). Hence my question, where can I check if my student credentials are transferred to my new account? And how do I solve this?

In this case, you'll need to resubscribe to the discount on your new account. You'll start paying at the discounted rate on your next renewal date.

Thank you for responding and welcoming me to the community!

However this does not solve my problem.. I chatted with one of your colleagues and he said he was able to transfer my studentcredentials therefore keeping my discount. If I wouldve known it didn’t work that way (I read it online but when I asked chatsupport he would be able to do it), I wouldnt have changed my account. Furthermore I just reconfirmed and therefore my renewal date is in 11 months (!!).
