Hi there,

Thanks for the post.

Sorry to hear that this is happening.

In order for the verification to work, the following conditions need to be met:

  • The country you're currently in must match the country set on your and your wife's Spotify accounts.
  • She must be at the same address as the one set on the Duo account manager page when accepting the invitation.

If she still keeps getting the error, let her try opening the link from a computer on an incognito browser window. This way you'll avoid issues caused by browser cache and cookies.

Note that a Spotify user can only change Family/ Duo plans once a year. If she's changed her Premium Duo or Family plan more than once this year, this could be causing the issue.

Hope this info helps.

Hello,

I am in the same situation. I changed my subscription from premium to Duo. I have been trying for over a week to complete the process by entering my home address, but I get the three grey dots for ages before "There was a problem. Please try again later." I have tried on two different laptops, Chrome and Safari (incognito windows), etc.

Hey @spot-saare,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the thread.

This type of issue is usually related to the country or location set on the account. So if you're using any VPN, we'd recommend turning it off during the process as it changes your real location to a different one. It's also worth checking that the country of your account matches with the country you're currently located in by following the steps here.

Also, taking into account that this behavior could be related to network permissions/restrictions and long waiting times, we'd recommend trying with a different Wi-Fi network to see if it makes any difference. If you don't have another one available, you can use a mobile data hotspot to test it.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
