My Question or Issue

 My payment information had to be updated to charge me for my subscription. But when it finally charged me, it reverted me to Premium. I want to get my family back but don’t want to be changed twice.

Hey @Westlake15, welcome to thw community.

Hope you’re doing great!

Do you remember the charge this plan was for? Could you send me a screenshot of the error message if possible? Please hide sensitive info when posting to the community.

If you switch back from Regular Premium to Premium for Family, you’ll be charged on a certain date; but not charged twice.

Keep me posted 🙂

I was charged for Premium instead of Family. I want the Family plan but don’t want to be charged for both to get it back.

@Westlake15,

Thanks for the clarification 🙂

You shouldn’t be charged twice for the regular Premium if you’re switching to Premium for Family. If you switch to the Family plan, you should only be charged on a certain date for that plan.

Hope this clarifies things!

Does that mean it will charge me for both plans or will it prorate?

@Westlake15,

Great question.

Here is an example:

-I switch from the regular Premium to Premium for Family today

-As I do this, it will tell me a certain date I will be charged (but you won’t be charged right away)

-Once the Premium for Family subscription starts, you’ll only be charged the regular rate for that plan only from now on until you change or cancel your plan again.

So you won’t be charged twice in this case. If you do ever get charged twice, I’d recommend looking at this Spotify Answer for more information and the next steps to take.

Hope this clarifies things 🙂
