Can’t open playlists

My Question or Issue

As of this week, I can’t open my playlists, I can still shuffle them and listen to the songs but I can’t open my own playlist, when I click on the “and more” part where it lists a few songs, it won’t open, meaning I can’t delete songs from my OWN playlists

I already can’t open albums to see what songs are in them because that changed to a premium feature. If I can’t open my playlist to delete songs because that’s a premium feature, the app is completely useless for people without premium because then we can’t even choose which songs we want to shuffle. If this is a glitch or problem of the app, please help me fix it.

same here! Thought I was the only one because my friend who also doesn’t have Spotify premium said she can open her playlists just fine… if it’s a premium feature I might as well delete Spotify because that’s so stupid… cant even remove songs from OUR OWN playlists without paying smh…

Seriously, apparently the ad revenue wasn’t enough for greedy Spotify. Time to switch back to pandora

The only thing I can tell you is to search Spotify web browser on safari or whatever search engine you use for mobile. that’s how I’ve been trying to delete songs. it’s pretty ridiculous though that I have to find another alternative JUST to delete a couple songs

Im glad Im got not the only one with this issue.. they need to fix this asap!!

I tried that and it still didn’t work

I cant even open my liked songs playlist. I have spent months picking out songs for it and I can't open it any more!

Hey @Clearsight,

Thanks for your reply in this thread 🙂

In this case, we'd like to investigate further. Can you let us know the exact make/model and OS of your device along with the Spotify version you use?

On another note, could you share with us the troubleshooting you’ve already done? You could start with a clean reinstall to see if this makes a difference. You can see the steps for a clean reinstall here.

Lastly, is there an external SD card installed on your device? If so, remove it and reinstall the app in the internal memory of your device. Make sure to use the app without inserting the SD card again.

We'll be on the lookout for your replies.

Cheers!

I’m having the issue linked below and the thread for that is closed. I have updated, clean reinstalled and it’s still not working.

I’ve had the Spotify app for months and now and all of a sudden I’m no longer able to see the songs in my playlists.

Hey there @Visitor12

Thanks for reaching out about this.

Would you mind logging in to your account on a different phone to check if the issue persists there?

Also, could you ask a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your phone to see if the same happens with a different account?

Let us know how it goes.

I have premium service but still can’t open my old playlists I think I accidently also signed up for 30 days free and got hit with all kinds of Spotify playlists artists
