While this is not a feature of the desktop app yet, good news for mobile app users!
Spotify recently released a new Your Library view for the iOS & Android mobile apps. One of the new features is the ability to pin up to 4 items to the top of Your Library. These items can be playlists, playlist folders, albums, artists, or podcasts.
I have a walkthrough on how to use the new Your Library view and pin items:

Hey @nerdywriter,
Thanks for the post.
On Desktop you can drag and drop your playlists and create the order you want them to appear in 🙂
Hope this helps.
@Alex,
The point of "pinning" something (a Tweet, a playlist) is that, when new Tweets or playlists get added, the pinned item stays at the top of the list, which is what this request (and I) am looking for. Having to constantly drag and drop playlists on the desktop app so that frequently-used playlist are at the top of the order is exactly the kind of thing that having the option to pin playlists would solve.
Thanks!
