Thank you for your help but i think ive found the solution. The website from where ive downloaded the songs dont work. Songs ive downloaded from a different website work, as newer songs i downloaded from that site also appear, which means ill just have to download like 100 songs again 😕

Hi @mika27,

Thanks for reaching out via the Community!

So we can get a better understanding, could you clarify if your local files stop downloading after this certain number and is this happening only on your PC? Did you notice if this behavior started happening after something specific?

It's great that you've already tried making a new folder, but let's see if the following steps will make a difference:

  • Clean reinstall with the steps here - it's more detailed and includes clearing the cache.
  • Make sure you've stored and synced the files correctly on your device and that they're all in the correct formats.
  • If possible, test downloading using another network connection (mobile data shared via hotspot).

Lastly, let us know if for example you're seeing any error messages within Spotify.

We'll be on the lookout for your response.

So ive only tried downloading them on my pc. And it doesnt stop the download rather the files that are in the selected folder dont show up in my Spotify Local Files, where only 68+1 of the about 120 or so files are shown. This started after adding more local files. I didnt change anything between my first time adding files and that time. And I dont see any error messages in Spotify.

Thank you for answering.

Ive tried the different steps now and installed QuickTime and Codec Pack. It didnt help unfortunately. Also a clean reinstall didnt help aswell as reinstalling from a different source.

Hey there @mika27

Thanks for getting back to us.

Would you mind trying to convert the files to .mp3, .m4p or .mp4 (if they aren't in that format already) to see if the same happens? If so, as @Ivelina mentioned previously, it'd come in handy if you could give a different internet connection a go to rule out any network issue.

On another note, could you try creating a new folder with only 10 or 20 of the missing files to see if this way they'd appear? Make sure to direct Spotify to that folder in Settings and then restart the app.

Let us know how it goes.
