My Question or Issue

How can I remove the AI DJ playlist from my collection of playlists?

If reasons are important: unlike an actual playlist, tapping or selecting it at all interrupts what I'm listening to. This is especially painful when that tap is an accident, and is a lot more likely if that logo looks in any way like the artwork I chose for an existing playlist, which I shouldn't have to change because of a feature I don't want to use that doesn't even follow the well-established user interface paradigms of the app.

Hi @ty1470,

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

Unfortunately, at the moment there isn’t an option to remove the AI DJ from your Spotify library. However, there’s currently a Live Idea for this potential functionality; and if it's something you’re interested in, I'd recommend adding your +VOTE to the idea.

The more votes an idea gets, the likelier it is that Spotify will implement it, and you can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here. You can also Subscribe to the idea by clicking the three dots next to its title; that way you can be sure to be informed of any relevant updates.

In the meantime, if you can see the AI DJ on the Home screen after filtering the content there to Music, you can try pressing the green check mark on the DJ icon to remove it from your library, as was suggested in a comment for the idea here.

Alternatively, if you have access to the desktop app or the web player, you can try the workaround suggested in this other comment for the idea (adding the AI DJ to a new playlist folder, and then deleting the playlist folder).

Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!

It is the same on Windows.

It appears that Spotify had employed ex-Microsoft developers!

Create a 'feature' that has no use and that noboby wants.

Allow them to remove the feature for a while.

Constantly re-add the feature even though it has been uninstalled.

Remove the ability to uninstall the feature...

As a paying customer, this feature is really annoying.

If things like this are forced on me, I may as well use the free version and put up with adverts!
