My Question or Issue
Liked songs are not syncing between the PC/Web apps and the iPhone/iPad apps.
Liked songs will sync between the PC and web apps.
Like songs will sync between the iPhone and iPad apps.
To test this I used an album where all the songs on the album were set to Liked. This was the same on all the apps, PC, web, iPhone and iPad.
I then removed the Liked status for all songs on the PC app. This change was reflected in the web app but not the iPhone or iPad app.
I cleared the cache for all apps which had no effect.
I uninstalled the app from the iPhone and then reinstalled it. The songs on the iPhone were set to Liked. I watched as the Liked song ticks came on for each song in the album. This still did not reflect the Liked status on the PC app.
I removed the Liked status for one song on the iPhone app. This was immediately reflected in the iPad app but not the PC or web apps.
Thanks,
Toby
Was having the same issue as @MattH42 untill i clicked on help, then TroiubleShooting, and then finally reset app data and restart. Now everything is synced
what is this bug? How is it possible, that such a bug gets in a release version? I cant see my liked songs on android in the windows app.
Hey folks,
Apologies for the radio silence and thanks for posting in this thread!
As this issue seems to be persisting, we'd like to gather additional details in order to continue investigating.
First I'd like to mention 2 users that shared what worked for them in this thread and it would be very helpful if you could test their troubleshooting (if it's possible) before you share your details:
If these steps aren't helpful, please send us:
We really appreciate the cooperation and in the meantime, we're here if any questions come up.
The solution might be acceptable for Freeware.
But the app has full control of the files in the mentioned folder to function properly.
In is just about 2 left hands on developer side and arrogance on management side.
I'm leaving Spotify
Is there a similar way for Mac? I couldn't find a similar path for Mac?
iPhone (12mini iOS 18.6.2) -> Spotify 9.0.72
MacBook Pro (M4Pro macOS 15.6.1) -> Spotify für macOS (Apple Silicon) 1.2.70.409.gd4fa4141
Clearing Cache, Re-Installing Apps on both devices, Log off 2 times in a row.
@Ivelina The actual problem is that this syncing issue keeps coming back. There are known "fixes" to resync it (full reinstall, reset, etc.), but those are no fixes for the root issue - they are temporary workarounds.

Most of the relevant information is already in this thread:
- happens on all desktop and mobile platforms -> issue might be device and OS/platform independent
- happens with any recent spotify version
I know these types of bugs are hard to find and reproduce, so the sooner the devs are aware of them the better.
This has been stuck in here for too long.

Issue
I've tried reinstalling the desktop app, restarting the mobile app, clearing cache
UPDATE: I had all 3 clients open at once and verified that they were connected by playing a song. I liked a new song and that seemed to sync all of them together...
Path have changed, for me it's :
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\SpotifyAB.SpotifyMusic_%someRandomLeters%\LocalState\Spotify\Users
Hi folks,
Thanks for the cooperation and all the info!

In the meantime, if you haven't seen @Ivelina's post here, it'd be great if you can check it out and share the info we're requesting in case you haven't already, so that we can add it to the report.
We'll be on the lookout.

This issue is still ongoing from 3 years ago, for me and many others. Please fix it! Billion Dollar company.
Same issue here. No sync between mobile and desktop for the last month or something.
Sounds like a bug that appeared recently, not some workarounds people need to go install and uninstall, though.
SOLUTION USING THE MICROSOFT STORE APP ON WINDOWS 11:
Go to your Setting app > click Apps > then Installed Apps > Search Spotify (in the search bar or in the list) > click the 3 dots > click Advanced Options > go down almost at the bottom click Reset (this wil reset Spotify and delete al info from the app off the device, but not from your account) > then reopen the Spotify app and login agian. Thats it it worked for me, all of my Liked songs were immediately there al nicely synced-up.
