New Episodes feed has been removed from My Library

When I opened the spotify app this morning to download any new episodes from my favourite podcasts in My Library, I found a note where my New Episodes feed would be to say this was now not part of My Library and that I needed to go to Home to find new episodes. So now I have to scroll endlessly through my home page to find the banner new episodes of podcasts, and then I have to open each episode individually to then click again to get to download them. Then when I go back to the homepage it takes me back to the top again and I have to scroll down the page AGAIN to find new episodes and go through the process each time. It was a stupid change and I don't understand why you would make it so much harder for users than previously. How is this beneficial?

This is the worst update. Makes me want to switch to a different app. Why would you make it harder to find new episodes. Someone should be fired for this change.

Whoever’s idea at Spotify this was, you are an **bleep** and don’t use the product you are designing.

 Why wouldn’t I want all of my latest unlistened to podcasts in one place? Why are you making me look around and do extra work to find what I want to listen to on your platform? 

 Give me back my “new episodes” tab, or I am leaving Spotify and going to someone who understands podcasts, like Apple Podcasts (which is free I might add).

This is terrible!  I used to be able to click the little checkmark if a podcast didn't interest me and it would disappear from me feed as if I had listened to it.  Now, it takes multiple steps to click the checkmark and the episode stays on my feed.  I don't want to scroll through all the episodes I am finished with.  How do I delete them from the feed?  It's way too cluttered.  I may look for a different way to listen to my podcasts.

Agree with all the comments on this thread. This is a rubbish change for app users, I'm not sure how anyone could be beneficial? Please re-instate the new episodes feed

My Question or Issue

The collection of 'my episodes', from followed podcasts is now missing as a simple one click library. Why? The change is so clunky now and makes accessing new material from podcasters I follow much more difficult. Who is this supposed to help? Please reinstate the new episodes feature.

This is such an awful choice. I have erased the app from my phone and will be going back to a different podcatcher. I simply can't think of a single bigger change you could have mad that would be this boneheaded. Someone should be sacked for this, for sure.

This is not a solution. I am so sick of Spotify making changes that aren't opt in / opt out. Another classic example is not being able to (-) a song from your discover weekly in desktop browser mode. Please STOP this and bring back new episodes. I'm not going to scroll endlessly through the home page I want new episodes in the same place I listen to music from - the library. So **bleep** annoyed. For Australian listeners if you listen to ABC podcasts the ABC listen app is a great alternative.

I am commenting on this again in hopes it gains traction. Please communicate the frustration of the podcast listening, paying custromers who do not like this change. Please give the option to have a new episodes tab like we had a few days ago.

Why was this playlist removed? I get that there is a new feature to find podcasts I am following, but why remove a useful and simple to use playlist in the library tab? You should not remove functionality from your app. It does not make sense at all.

And yet, we still can not put an image on folders. Please get your priorities straight.

What a mess! Couldn't find new episodes this morning so did a quick search and found this thread. Can't find recently added episodes from the podcasts I follow whilst quickly trying to get ready for work. The user interface is a mess now, sort it out

The developers at Spotify remind me of that episode of Father Ted where Ireland purposefully lose Eurovision because it is costing them too much to host the event.

I don't know why else they ignore feedback and activity implement new ways to make the user experience worse.

Do Premium users still have the new episodes feature? Is this enshitification in action?

This is absolutely horrible! This change will force me to end my subscription and find a new product. The new episodes function was the main thing I used in Spotify! Thanks for ruining a great program! 🤬
