Hi everyone,

just FYI I use the German version so I'm not 100% sure what the correct English labels are.

I subscribed to a paid podcast via Steady until ~December 2024. On Spotify, it's a designated premium channel with only paywalled episodes. I unfollowed on Spotify when my Steady subscription ended. Now, about three months later, I still get every single one of their episodes in my "new episodes" list. They upload 4-5 times a week and, as it's paywalled, I can't get rid of it on mobile. 

I don't have this issue with any other podcast, even the ones where I had a subscription via Steady more recently. 

It's a very annoying problem, anyone had this issue before?

Could you point out how your issue is separate from the thread we had previously merged it to? We'd gladly take a further look!
Note that, as mentioned in that thread, you should be able to mark the paywalled episodes as played on the desktop app.

That solution isn't good enough unfortunately. It needs more of a fix than that. On some of my podcast subscriptions there are literally years of paywalled episodes mixed into the available episodes, it is incredibly time consuming and frustrating to mark each episode individually as "played". 

Why can't the developers install a filter button within the app to hide paywalled episodes? There are already filter options for played or unplayed, just add an additional option for paywall episodes.

"New Episodes" isn't an available playlist in the desktop app, ONLY in the phone app, so I can't just power through the playlist and "Mark as Played' but have to go into each individual podcast, dig through to find the locked episodes and then click "Mark as Finished" - this SHOULD NOT be considered a Fix. It's a very inconvenient work around and if you could at least get the "New Episodes" available in the desktop app, OR just make "Mark as Finished" easy on the phone app, that would be great.

If anyone has the same issue: 

The channel I subscribed to apparently merged (?) two channels.


The "normal" channel, to which I subscribed to, then also uploaded the "premium" episodes but if you clicked on the premium episode, it always showed the premium channel, which I was not subscribed to, as the artist, hence my confusion. The current solution, sadly, is to unsubscribe both channels.
