Made a playlist after the new update the cover looks tiny and the formatting looks completely different from my past playlists. How do I fix it?

I tried creating a new playlist twice. It was created with the new look that is written about here. However, within a day, maybe two days, the playlist's look changed to the normal one that we all like. I think there is no need to worry that the new playlist will have a terrible look, because soon the playlist will have a normal look

The new feature is simply awful and I personally demand as a paying user of the service that you represent for it to be changed back post-haste!!

please remove this new playlist ui it looks so ugly 😞 a big part of the reason i use spotify is because i can make my playlists look all pretty with a playlist cover but now the picture is so small now and it dosent have a color gradient anymore which honestly looks messy and ugly and just straight up bad. also we dont need three editing buttons we just need one. please fix this asap it makes me not wanna keep paying for something that keeps adding useless updates that only make the experience worse.

just adding my two cents, I hate the small picture layout, it’s way too small to see any details in the album covers. And the space to the right of the picture is just dead space, it doesn’t make any sense unless your boss is pressuring you to update the UI for no reason even though it was perfectly fine before 😒 leave the layout aloneeee

Honestly, i strongly dislike it. The picture is small and it takes away the color theme that the playlist would have from the picture. It kinda takes away all its personality and fun and makes it look crowded messy and boring. I would really like it if there was an option to change it back to the old version.

I absolutely agree with you I think it looks horrible. I spend money through Meta ads to promote Spotify playlists … and I also pay artists to create me cool looking cover, art for my playlists .. now the art looks ridiculous.

Man that really sucks, id be so bummed if i asked for artists to make me
covers before this update.

It's quite unfortunate since i really love seeing the pictures i chose for
each playlist since they are of people i really love or loved at the time
of me making it and it makes me smile to see them, but now i can hardly
make it out without leaning really close to my phone and it's such a dull
grey/black background. Kinda made me sad to see 😕

I’m not going to lie, I was in the middle of making a playlist, selected a super cute and inspiring playlist cover, and had a few songs already planned out to use, only to discover this tasteless and rather disappointing change. At first I thought the cover’s smallness was because I hadn’t added enough songs, but 10 of them in and I realized it wasn’t going to change.

Spotify, I’m deeply displeased with this change, especially since it wasn’t announced and all of my old playlists still have the more aesthetically pleasing layout. This change turns me off from wanting to make new playlists, and honestly, from using the app in general. I have endured all the other UI changes you have made over the years as I’ve been a customer since 2016, but I think there have been too many steps in the wrong direction. 

I URGE you to change the UI to the original layout for your playlist designs, or I and many other customers, will take our business elsewhere.

This change was a complete and utter failure and removed the personality that people invest into their playlists. I hope you hear all of us when we express our displeasure and change it back.

This update is horrendous. There are too many buttons, so few of which I need, and the playlist cover art is so small and gross. Rancid.

I hate this change. It looks so much worse that I just edited an old playlist instead of creating a new one which by default has this ugly tiny cover image. The title barely even fits in the new format,

 

 

and you have to squint to even see what’s in the image. The most stupid and unnecessary change I’ve ever seen.

Any new playlists you make have this awful layout where the cover image/art is too small to actually see, and the title of the playlist is squished to the side so you can’t view it all.

Whoever’s idea this was, please reconsider your career. I am resorting to editing editing old playlists of mine because they still have the old interface instead of just creating new playlists. 

The interface is one of the reasons I stay with Spotify. If this is the new layout, I might as well go to Apple Music this looks so incredibly awful.

i don’t know when or why spotify decided to change the playlists layout but can we all agree it’s bad and we need to go back to the old one? it’s also weird that all my old playlists have the old layout but if you try to make any new playlists then it makes it have the new layout.

Hey Spotify,

I noticed the layout of my playlists changed, and honestly, I really don’t like it. The songs are just listed in plain text now, and the album covers are gone. It makes everything feel super dry and harder to scroll through. I miss the original look where the song title was next to the cover art. It just looked better and was easier to use. If this is some kind of test, I really hope it doesn’t stay. I wish we could at least choose which layout we want.

I love using Spotify, but this change kinda kills the vibe for me. Please bring the old layout back or give us the option to switch!

happening on mine too! actually, only my newest playlist is formatting that way (on my phone) and all my other ones have the old layout. it’s so ugly! spotify please take me back

This sudden new format with the cover image as a tiny square tucked off to the left side, and the title font awkwardly hovering to the right of it, is absolute garbage. Horrible design sensibility. All my old playlists (thankfully) still look good, but new ones made in the last few days now have this sad excuse for a layout. Spotify programmers: Please change back to the original format as soon as possible! Aesthetics matter, my friends: especially in an app dedicated to music and creativity.

Exactly, i hate it so much im about to delete the app. What’s the point of even adding cover art now if you can barely see it because they shrunk it down and put it in the corner??? Just another case of them fixing something that doesn’t need to be fixed oml like no one asked for this. Change it back to the original playlist layout NOW
