Hi, I have a playlist with just over 2,000 songs, but recently it no longer appears in the ‘Add to Playlist’ option or in searches. There are no error messages, and I can still see the playlist in my library—I just can’t add songs to it using that option.
This issue happens across all platforms (Windows, macOS, and iOS) on my account. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Hey there @1225745792,
Thanks for reaching out on the Community!
Just to check, on the computer app, are you able to drag and drop a song in to that playlist? If not, could you double-check so that you're listed as the creator/collaborator of the playlist? For example, if it's a shared playlist, and the permissions & privacy settings have been changed, you might not be able add more songs.
Should you be the owner/creator of the list, however, an option is to create a copy of the playlist to see if the new one works for you. You can create a copy by pressing the 3 dots/right-click on the playlist > Add to other playlist > New playlist.
Keep us posted on how you get on!

Thank you, Maria. According to the app I owned the playlist and it was set to private and I could drag and drop songs. It is odd that I could see the playlist on some devices (iOS) but could not find it on (MacOS). I was able to open it by using the web player which then allowed me to open that in the MacOS app. I then was able to add to a new play new playlist. What's strange is I can search and find the new playlist but the original one does not show up even though they share the same root name which is what I searched for.
Search term: 'aplaylist' (example)
Original playlist: 'aplaylist'
New playlist: 'aplaylist2'
Only the new playlist shows up. It's like the metadata for the original playlist has been corrupted somewhere.
Regardless, your fix worked. Thank you!
I got the same issue on my mac mini, but not on my macbook pro. What's up with that?
Hey @SoundNerd49,
Thanks for reaching out!
Just to check, as this only happens on your Mac Mini, could you try clearing stored cache to see if you notice any difference? Make sure to log out from the app and back in again once it's done. As odd as this may sound, completing these steps should resync your account info 🙂
Another option is to try a clean reinstall. This will also clear cache, as well as ensure that you're running the latest version of the Spotify app.
If the issue persists, could you let us know if this occurs with this playlist only, or if you're having issues adding songs to other playlists too? If possible, feel free to include screenshots or photos showing how things look from your end on the Mac Mini compared to the Macbook, so we can have a closer look as well. Just make sure the pictures don't include any personal details.
Keep us posted on how it goes!
