My Question or Issue
I have Spotify on My PC. I then put the App on my Galaxy S22 phone and I think the tracks / albums synced across.
I remember pressing the download on the tracks on my phone so as not to have to stream them but I cannot remember if I used Very high quality or not.
Is there a way to re-download the tracks / albums on my phone to ensure they are in Very High Quality or a way to check what quality they are curently in?
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hi Luan,
Many thanks for taking the time to answer my question, it is very much appreciated. I hadn't noticed anything saying it was going to re-download anything after changing the settings.
I'm guessing I had already downloaded them them in Very High quality which puts my mind at rest.
Kind regards
Gareth

Checking back in here in 2025. With the introduction of lossless, Spotify hasn't created an option to redownload existing downloads in that quality. A message pop ups when the setting is changed explicitly stating that existing downloads won't be affected and only new downloads will be in lossless? Anyone know how to force Spotify to re-download all files with one click? I'm scared that if I click "Remove Downloads" in preferences, I'll be forced to go through each track and playlist and instruct it to download again.
Hi there @soupcan113,
Thanks for reaching out.
You're correct in that if you use "Remove Downloads", this will just un-download everything you have saved, so you'll have to save all those again. Due to the high data usage associated with lossless, it doesn't have the automatic re-download as @Luan described, so you'll need to re-download the desired content individually to have them saved in lossless quality.
Hope this clears things up.
