I am note given the option to share a song using sms only WhatsApp etc

The option Share includes all the available contact apps installed on the device. First, make sure you have your built-in SMS app active and not merged with other apps like Facebook messenger.

If you already verify this and still don't have the option, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble. 

In case the issue persists, include in your next response a screenshot where we can see the sharing options available in your device.
