The sound capsule on my device has not updated for the past week, i have done a fresh install of the app, logged in and out of the app

the app version is 9.0.80.1341

Hey @raghavgarg28, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

 

The sound capsule updates based on your listening activity. Sometimes it can take longer than usual to reflect the latest changes. I have noticed this on my end as well but this doesn't seem like a bug, it just takes longer sometimes to show the latest stats.

 

Make sure you don't have Private Listening turned on else the stats might not add up.

I’ve recently noticed my sound capsule showing 2810 mins and I’m pretty sure I’ve listed to a couple more hours after checking. I’ve realized that it doesn’t update and shows the same 2810 string. Just want to know the technical root cause for this.

Even my sound capsule isn't updated for 3-4 days

My play time is stuck at 3,005 minutes since 15th February and I did Clear Data and reinstalled Spotify. (I'm on Android 16, Spotify Platinum)

Jumping in to suggest to try with a different connection (like a different Wi-Fi network, mobile data, mobile hotspot) or to wait a few days to see if it makes any change. As @Amay mentioned Your Sound Capsule sometimes might take longer than usual to reflect the latest changes. 

 

Keep in mind that in order to have access to Your Sound Capsule data you would have to listen to at least 30 tracks for over 30 seconds and stream at least 5 different artists. Also, make sure you're not listening in Offline mode or in a Private Session or your data wouldn't be collected.

 

If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you folks!

My sound capsule isn't updated either

Hey Paula,

 

I have been using it for more than 3 hours now, and I have been on a different network the whole time and I assure I have not been on private or offline mode. It still doesn’t reflect as it should in the sound capsule.

Well it seems that's the Indian Sound Capsule servers are indeed having a trouble. (Not our apps.) It's a server sided issue with the last update reflecting on 15th of Feb.

 

As for your trial on helping us with 30 tracks over 30 seconds, I have over 3,000 minutes so that is not possible. And a decent Wi-Fi connection rules out any Client-Sided issue with network.

Sound capsule is not updated since last 5 days after reaching 18k . I have reinstalled the app , also updated app with latest version still problem exists. The problem is also there on my Android phone too

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask if anyone else has experienced something similar with their playback history and listening insights.

I have noticed that certain tracks I listened to repeatedly played in full and under normal usage condition are not being accurately reflected in features such as Sound Capsule. However, these plays appear to be registered normally in my day to day app usage and even show up in some external integrations.

To rule out common causes, I have already confirmed that:

- The tracks were played for longer than 30 seconds (they were not skipped).
- Private Session was not enabled during these listening sessions.
- The music was streamed directly from Spotify’s official catalog.
- My account is not shared with any other users.
- The activity occurred during regular use, including switching between devices and occasionally using offline/online modes.

I am wondering whether this could be related to synchronization delays, differences in how playback data is processed for insights, or a potential issue in how certain plays are recorded.

Has anyone encountered this before or has any information on how Spotify accounts for listening data in these features?

My listening time is freezed, 

A week ago it was 4312mins and still today it's the same 

 

Even I have this issue my play time is stuck on 1747 min since 15th feb
