Spotify PC issue (web and desktop app)

Nothing will load or play. The home screen and playlists tab both have "something went wrong", and I can't search for anything. When I sign out both players works fine, it's only when I log in do the players not work. iPhone app works completely fine. I've tried reinstalling the desktop app and clearing the cache on chrome, and restarting the PC, but nothings worked. I just want to listen to my TOOL.

Thanks for reaching out about this and welcome to the Community. 

 

Just to confirm, are you using any VPNs? If so, we suggest that you turn it off since it can affect the app's performance. 

 

On another note, we suggest that you clear up your hosts file. Head here to find out how.

 

If this doesn't do the trick, would you mind giving a different internet connection a go to see if that makes the difference? You can try creating a hotspot on your phone and using that.
