My Question or Issue

I haven't used Spotify in a while and I can't find a way to add new music to an existing playlist. I did "heart" the album but that just puts it into my library.

Hi Just_Me999,

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

To add a song to a playlist on the desktop client, you can right-click on the song, and then from the menu that pops up, select “Add to Playlist.” A list of your playlists will appear, and you can select whichever playlist that you want to add the track to. Alternatively, you can click on the song once and then drag it onto the left panel that shows your playlists, specifically onto the particular playlist that you want to add the song to.

To add an album to a playlist, there is a shortcut so that you don’t have to add each song individually or select all the tracks on the album (using single clicks + holding down Ctrl) and add them to the playlist (though those methods work as well). This shortcut is either accomplished by clicking the three dots at the top of the album, selecting “Add to Playlist” from the pop-up menu, and then selecting whichever playlist that you want to add the album to; or by dragging the name or artwork for the album onto the name of your playlist that you want to add the track to, in the lefthand panel.

Let us know if you still need help, and have a great day!
