My Question or Issue
When I go to the category „Discover something new“ and then click on „Music for me“ everything is normal but after some category switches (like wish from the right to the left) the App suddenly crashes. Then I need to open it again and every time I tried it the App crashes like in the video I attached.
I don’t know if it’s a IOS problem because it’s a Beta and not really optimised yet but I thought it would be a good idea to let you guys know about it too.
Have a great day,
Eric
Hey there @Syrox,
Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.
Could you let us know if this started happening after a specific event such as an update either of Spotify or the OS of your device? Also, does this happen across devices or only on your iPhone? It'd be useful if you could check on a different mobile device.
On another note, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.
Keep us posted on how it goes.
Hello,
Its started to happen after I installed iOS 26.0 (23A5260n) and yes it’s happening on multiple devices. On my iPhone 14 Pro Max and also on my iPad Pro (12,9 Zoll, 5th Generation) is the App crashing.
I reinstalled Spotify but even after that it’s still crashing.
Hi @Syrox,
Thanks for your reply.
Since it happens across devices, we'd like to double-check if the issue is account-related. To do so, would you mind asking a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your affected devices and check if they can replicate this behavior with their account?
If the issue persists with a different account, could you give a different internet connection a go to see if the same happens? If you've been using Wi-Fi, you can try with mobile data now.
Lastly, we'd also like to know if this only happens when you switch categories in the „Music for me“ section or if the crashing is also happening in other scenarios.
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Hi,
yes the crash replicates even on an other account and with mobile data on (WiFi off).
The app crashes also in other categories, not only in „music for me“.
Thanks for the details, @Syrox!
We've gone ahead and forwarded the info to our tech team who'll investigate further. In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.
Cheers 🤘

My Question or Issue
Every time I try to play from the section “find your next favorite song” I can’t swipe through the options. The app immediately crashes after the second song.
I’m also having this issue on an iPhone 13 in the UK with iOS 18.5
Hi there folks,
Thanks for the replies.
According to our testing, this should be resolved on the latest release of the app. For any of you still having these issues, please let us know the exact Spotify Version you're on.
Keep us posted.
Looks like it’s fixed for me 🙂
