Description
All menus and features of the App work correctly; apart from the Playlist menu. I press the playlist name and the App crashes.
A more detailed description, using numbered steps
1. Open spotify App.
2. Select playlist.
4. Spotify App becomes unresponsive after selecting playlist.
5. I either have to force close the App or wait for it to crash.
What I expected to happen
The playlist to open.
What actually happened
The App becomes unresponsive and crashes.
My iPad/iPhone model
iPod Touch 3rd Gen.
Device’s Operating System
Version 6.1.6 (10B500)
Is your device jailbroken?
No
Approximately how many playlists do you have?
I have five playlists:
1 = 65 of 66 tracks synced (3h, 52min)
2 = 0 of 398 tracks synced (26h)
3 = 0 of 231 trachs synced (22h)
4 = 0 of 20 tracks synced (1h 16min)
5 = 0 of 18 tracks synced (1h 24min)
Previously all tracks were synced, before the most recent update they all worked correctly, (the update isn't the reason why the playlists are unsynced).
My mobile Spotify version
0.9.4.25
My provider and country
iPod Touch uses Wi-Fi, no telephone network provider, UK.
Additional information
I have tried offline mode, tried disconnection from Wi-Fi, deleting playlists, reinstalling playlists, removing songs, adding songs, restarting iPod, I have also reset my iPod twice, still the issue persists.
Hi. Could you try uninstalling spotify the restarting your ipod with the lock and home buttons before reinstalling if you haven't tried that already.
Yeah I saw that but wasn't sure if you followed the specific sequence.In fact, I'm still not sure. Has this started happening recently or have you always had this issue? Do the playlist names contain any strange non- standard characters by any chance?
All characters used in playlist titles are standard. This started just after I installed the latest update.
To clarify, I did follow your steps, correctly.
Have a feeling this might be caused by a corrupt playlist on your account (it has been known to happen on occassion). If you could get in touch with the Spotify support team directly using the online contact form they can give your account the once over to make sure everything is alright on their end.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

All of the second options are unrelated to my issue, and there isn't a 'other' option.
Playing music is the issue, but only within playlists. There aren't any playlist related options available to choose from which are in anyway related to my issue.
The only option which has an 'other' is about leaving feedback. I'm unsure about which (1) and (2) I should pick.
But thanks for the response.
Playing music and any of the other options will be fine. They only use those to trigger the automated email response and you're going to reply to that anyway.
Have not found an answer to this yet.
App crashes when opening the playlist menu.
I've deleted and reinstalled the app several times.
I've done an iPhone reboot several times
I've gone into the desktop app and deleted a couple playlists.
Still nothing. No response from support vis the contact form either.
Maybe canceling by sub will be the only answer since I can't see using this service without the playlist option.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the response.
I'm using IOS 7.1 on and iPhone 5
Spotify Ver 1.0.0.3251
Hi @BBBuroughs Probably the best thing is to get in touch with support here. If you get an automated response directing you back to the community or to the help pages, make sure to reply to it directly to speed things along.
I don't know how many playlists you have but it is possible that one of them is causing the crash. You could try deleting them one at a time to try and pin down the issue while you wait for the support guys to get back to you. They'll be recoverable (apart from starred) here.
Hi Joe,
I'll give it a try. I have quite few playlists in genre folders, so I don't know if I'll have to recreate the folders or not. I'm going to give the support people a couple more days. Thanks.
I have exactly the same problem on Android.
Removing the app and reinstalling does not help
On a PC there are no problems
