My Question or Issue
When I connect my iPhone via CarPlay to my car (2021 Subaru Crosstrek Premium), not all of my artists are listed, regardless of whether I follow them. I can see them all on the Spotify app on my phone, but it doesn’t list artists last the letter V on my car display. I have a handful of favorite artists beyond V, and it seems silly to have to pick up my phone when I’m driving to access them. I have tried literally everything to fix the issue (deleted Spotify, reinstalled, disconnected my car from CarPlay, reconnected, factory reset of car display) and nothing has worked. Any help would be appreciated!

How disappointing. Thought we might be on to something! 😞
hi, i have 210 songs in a playlist and carplay only shows 201.
i tried adding/deleting songs from playlist but it seems that 201 is the limit ?
any ideas ? thanks

So, disregarding the other threads that have drawn attention to this issue over the years, it’s been 9 months since this was flagged. Nothing has changed. It would be nice to be able to listen to an artist who’s name begins with the letters from N-Z in my car at some point.
Anything from Spotify or should we expect more crickets on the subject? This is ridiculous.
It seems to be related to of you are actually moving or not.
When I am at a complete stop I get everything and when the car is moving you get less items. The stupid thing is that when playing a certain artist random it also limits the random playlist instead of playing adding everything to the playlist.
So it is a deliberate action from Spotify.
That’s not true on my end (or most other users in this thread).
It’s the same situation when I’m parked or driving. Only lists artists A-T.
Yep having this issue aswell in my 2022 Toyaota SR5 Hilux.
Only my 'A' artists are showing.
Iphone 13 Pro
iOS 15.6.1
So I guess we’re just going to keep ignoring this issue Spotify?
Have this issue been resolved? Considering how many people have replied to this thread over such a long period, this is a common and ongoing problem. I am still experiencing this issue:
Info:
iPhone X & iPhone 14 Pro Max
iOS version: 16.2 (iPhone 14)
Head unit: Pioneer DMH-Z6350BT
Head unit firmware: v1 - v3 (problem exist across all 3 versions of the firmware)
Problem is there regardless of the vehicle speed/parked
Same issue. Playlists doesnt show all songs.
Mini Cooper SE 2020
iphone 13 mini
ios 16.0
I can only access up to C in my library? When is Spotify going to fix this 😡
Still an issue…
Hello
I have the same bug (A to L for me) tested in :
Citroën ëC4 and Hyundai Ioniq 6
iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 16.4
using wired connection or wireless through Carlinkit 4.0
With an old account and a fresh new one (after rebuild of my Library)
There is a limit in the number of track/album/artist we can manage in Spotify Carplay. And due to my own test (multiple car, multiple account and multiple kind of access) I'm sure it is a Spotify bug
I’ve also got an SR5 2022 and have the same problem. Only A shows in artists and I’ve done all these things to try rectify.
Sometimes when parked it will show all the artists for literally 10 seconds then straight back to only showing the A artists again. Frustrating as **bleep**.
Same 2019 gti. I’m positive it’s related to how many artists you follow. Anyone with “broad tastes” are the losers here. Not a useful product Spotify.
I'm also quite sure it's related to the number of artists you follow.
PARKING DOES NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BEING PARKED.
I have had this issue across two cars now. This is a Spotify and/or Carplay issue and it HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED.
Sweet I’m glad I’m not the only person having this issue and it’s wonderful to hear that there’s still no fix. How wonderful 🩸🩸🩸😃💥🔫
Hi All,
I also have the same issue (Artists A-F)
I’ve got a brand new Hyundai; I use an almost brand new iPhone - my partner who has a Google Pixel phone, and uses the SAME Spotify account gets A-Z.
I had the same in with my old car, using another (older iPhone) and drive lots of hire cars due my job - when using CarPlay all of them without fail only display A-F when connecting with my phone
In my opinion this is a Spotify/Apple/CarPlay issue. It’s clearly got nothing to do with the number of artists in your library, because it’s not doing this on a Google Pixel when using the same Spotify account via AndroidAuto (or whatever it’s called)
Hi,
I have a similar problem: in the CarPlay version of Spotify, not all albums appear. When I select the letters A to Z to select an album more quickly, Spotify does not show me albums beyond the letter R.
