Disable video thumbnails (not canvas)

How do I disable the small video thumbnails that appear in playlists or on artists pages? The thing left to the save or follow button. I already disabled canvas. It’s extremely distracting and I never want to use the feature. If I can’t dieselbe it at least make it a static image. The UX is hostile enough as it is, please dial back on animated and moving stuff.

It's horrible, because the video must load before the music starts playing. This introduces a 1-2 second lag, and I'm on a 300mbit connection. If I want to go quickly through a number of songs it becomes cumbersome.

Winamp did this better 20 years ago. I shouldn't be a hostage to such 'enhacements', paying for premium.

I also find the video in thumbnails to be distracting, and wish it could be disabled in settings.

I feel the same way. I came back to Spotify Premium after a few years and this really bothers me. It's data trash I just don't need and I find it annoying. Please give us a way to disable this "feature".

don’t want or need it. This is an audio app not a video app. All video should be removed. Thank you.
