Downloaded spotify app, but it appeared on wife's phone.

I have an iPhone 4s running OS 7.1.2 (afraid to install 8 because it's already got issues). I downloaded the free spotify app on the app store and tried to open it from the screen on the app store. It doesn't appear on my desktop, but it showed up on my wife's phone. We share one apple ID between the two of us, this usually means that we can share apps, but this time it means that she has the app and I don't.

Any ideas?

With Desktop, do you mean your own iPhone or the Desktop client?

Does it work when you download manually from the app-store?

If you have app sync enabled, it should install the Spotify app on both devices. What happens if you tap open from inside the App Store?

Tried that, spinning wheel of nothing.

When I said desktop, I mean the home screen on my phone...

Could you try to reboot your phone? That might help.

actually, no wheel. I can push the open button and it flashes blue then back to open. Nothing happens.

Are you able to remove the app using itunes? If yes, try that and reinstall the app from the app-store.
