My Question or Issue

spotify is randomly unfollowing my friends. It doesn’t let me follow them back. We haven’t blocked each other. My Spotify is not synced to other apps, and I already tried logging in and out

That sounds odd and we'd like to investigate further. To rule out your account being compromised, we'd strongly suggest securing it by following the steps in this article.

Once this has been done, could you let us know when you first noticed this behavior (ex. after a recent update)? Also, what happens when trying to follow the users back - do you get any error messages or is the button unresponsive? It's worth performing a clean reinstall of the app, if you haven't already - this will get rid of any potentially corrupted cache and ensure you're running the latest version of Spotify available.

Something else you can do is check if everything looks good on another device, like a PC for example. Try following the users from the new device to see if the changes would reflect on your iPhone.
