Free streaming on iOS 4?

Hey,

so recently Spotify became free on iOS devices, you don't need Premium anymore to stream on your iPod. It would be nice, but I have an old iPod touch (2g) with iOS 4.2, and have the latest available Spotify version on it (the big light green logo). Sadly, it still requires Premium to play songs... Why is it so? Will it be available or I must get Premium just because of my old iPod? 😞

Unfortunately yes. 

Spotify introduced free streaming in an app version after they discontinued support for iOS 4 and 5. Unfortunately you need iOS 6 or above to run the updated app which contains the mobile free version.
