Length of podcasts doesn´t show in My episodes

Length of podcasts doesn´t show in My episodes

My Question or Issue

When I add podcast episodes the length doesn't show in My episodes. In New episodes the length of the podcasts are showing. It doesn't matter which podcast show, none of my podcast episodes have a time stamp to it and I have to click onto each episode to check the length of the episodes. Even when the episodes are played, it doesn't show.

I have restarted the app, logged out and in, checked that I have the latest version (9.0.74.1123) and reinstalled the app. It is not a problem on my iPad or iMac. What else can I do to make this work again. When you listen to podcasts every single day, this is a bit annoying 🙂

Same issue with me and I imagine a lot of others who either cannot or aren’t looking for it. I’m on iPhone IOS 18.6.2 and issue began around the time the latest update (9.0.74.1123) came out. When I first noticed a few days ago, I tried to clear the app and restart my phone, nothing changed. Earlier today, I tried to clear my spotify cache and restart my phone, nothing changed. Then i tried to log out and back in and still nothing. I’m relieved to have finally found this thread with whats seems to be the same problem happening to others, however, as someone who listens to podcast all day and uses the queue function it has become increasingly frustrating that the only way to tell the length of a podcast is to play it (and stop whatever your currently playing), or estimate by the chapters. I believe the only way around this is not clearing them from the “new episode section” but that is not reliable as it will get cluttered fast.

Thanks for helping and/or communicating my information.

Hey folks!

Thank you for the shared details! This is on our radar and we'll keep you posted as soon as we have anything new to share 🙂

For anyone new here, please let us know the following details:

  • The device this has occurred on
  • Its OS version
  • Your Spotify app version
  • The rough time this has begun (e.g. after an update/ a few days ago/ etc.)

Much appreciated!

P.S. As for the other thing you've mentioned with the number of episodes, @elkn2025, could you let us know if scrolling down and up again resets the number to the correct one for you? Many thanks!

Following up with info requested.

-iPhone running iOS 18.5

-Spotify app version 9.0.74.1123

-This started after a recent app update.

Everything shows correctly on my MacBook running the Spotify app version  1.2.48.405.gf2c48e6f

9/2/25---When viewing my podcasts in  "Your episodes", I normally see how long I've played each episode, how long the podcast is, and it normally says "finished" under the episode once completed.  Now it only has listed the date it came out.  I have to click on the 3 little dots to see if it is finished, making it very inconvenient to remove episodes or know if I played them or not.  I also can't tell how long I have left of the episode unless I start playing it again.  These changes are highly inconvenient and are NOT user friendly.  Why do you keep making unnecessary changes to this playlist?  We already had to fight just to get this playlist back where it was, now you're making it inconvenient again?  Slowly losing hope in Spotify, please stop changing things that don't need changed!

My Question or Issue

Checked on my husband´s iPhone. iOS 18.5, when the app was updated to 9.0.74.1123 it is the same as on my iPhone.

Hi :). Experiencing the same thing.

My device is an iPhone 13 and answers to the other questions are the same as everyone else’s here, haha. Started a couple of days ago, latest versions of iOS and Spotify.

Happens to me too and it's a very big inconvenience multiple times a day as I'm trying to pick a podcast to listen and
1. see which ones I've already started
2. the length which is important for I often choose them based on the length vs my current activity.

  • The device this has occurred on - iPhone 11 Pro
  • Its OS version - 18.6.2
  • Spotify app version - 9.0.74.1123
  • The rough time this has begun - recently... I think a few days ago or last week.

Happens always in 'Your Episodes', no matter the filter or sorting applied.

This is just weird. There has been no update on Spotify, so the app hasn’t been updated and I haven’t updated iOS. This is how podcast episodes are today, no issues and everything seems to be back to normal. Spotify on my husband’s iPhone is also correct now

Same! All good starting today 🙂

Same here, working again as usual. Didn't do anything but is all working well again
