My Question or Issue
When I add podcast episodes the length doesn't show in My episodes. In New episodes the length of the podcasts are showing. It doesn't matter which podcast show, none of my podcast episodes have a time stamp to it and I have to click onto each episode to check the length of the episodes. Even when the episodes are played, it doesn't show.
I have restarted the app, logged out and in, checked that I have the latest version (9.0.74.1123) and reinstalled the app. It is not a problem on my iPad or iMac. What else can I do to make this work again. When you listen to podcasts every single day, this is a bit annoying 🙂

Hey folks!
Thank you for the shared details! This is on our radar and we'll keep you posted as soon as we have anything new to share 🙂
For anyone new here, please let us know the following details:
Much appreciated!
P.S. As for the other thing you've mentioned with the number of episodes, @elkn2025, could you let us know if scrolling down and up again resets the number to the correct one for you? Many thanks!
Hello @elkn2025,
Welcome to the Community! Thanks for the detailed description and for providing us with screenshots.
I tested on an iPhone with the same app version, but couldn't reproduce the same behavior, so let's troubleshoot this together.
It's great that you've already performed some troubleshooting steps, but could you share if you noticed when this behavior occurred for the first time? Was it after an update for example?
Since the episodes seem to be downloaded, could you remove them from downloads and let us know if there's a difference? I also noticed that you're listening via an external device, but does the same thing happen regardless?
Something else that comes to mind is to ask a relative or a friend to log in to their account on your iPhone to test if they can reproduce the same.
Appreciate the cooperation and we'll be on the lookout for your response.
It happened a couple of days ago, I think there was an update around that time. It stays the same when I delete the download and download it again and it doesn't matter which podcast I check, they all look the same. I have also turned the phone off and on, no change. There is no change whether I listen to the podcast on the speaker on the phone or via bluetooth.
Thanks for clarifying these details @elkn2025 🙂
You've menioned a reinstall, but just to be on the safe side, could you make sure that you've gone over the steps for a clean reinstall here? It's a bit more detailed and includes clearing the cache which can cause issues if it's corrupted.
On another note, let us know if there's a difference:
Keep us posted.
have exactly the same problem. On my personal iPhone 14 they’re not shown and on my corporate iPhone 16 they’re shown as usual. Both on my accounts and with the latest iOS and app versions. The problem started 2 days ago I thin
Clean reinstall has been completed, no help in that.
I have logged into my account on another iPhone, no help in that either.
Hey @elkn2025,
Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared.
To continue investigating this case, since we can see on the screenshots that the playback is playing over bluetooth, would you mind checking if the same behavior happens if you're playing your playback directly from your phone?
Also, it would also be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your iPhone- such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists.
Lastly, taking into account that you mentioned an iPhone and an iMac in your original message, could you confirm if this behavior is happening on your Mac as well?
We'll be on the lookout.
Hi. I have tried to log into my account on another iPhone, same thing happens there. There is no difference whether I am listening to podcasts on the speaker or via Bluetooth. On the iMac, the length of each podcast is showing as it normally has been.
Hey @elkn2025,
Thank you for your message.
We appreciate all the info you've sent and all the troubleshooting you've tried so far. Taking into account that at times, iOS settings such as Screen Time or Storage restrictions may affect the proper behavior of the app, we'd recommend making sure that Spotify has all the required permissions.
Also, remember to try a different account on your iPhone to see if the issue persists. As an alternative, you can create a new account with a different email just for testing purposes to see if you can see the podcast duration on that account. This will help us understand if it could be account-related or not.
We'll be waiting for your response.
There is no screen time or storage restrictions, I have more than 100GB storage left on the phone! I have tried everything and the same problem is on other phones too when I sign in with my login. Is there seriously nothing you can do?
Hey @elkn2025,
Thank you for your response.
In order to investigate this behavior further with internal teams, we need to gather all the necessary information. So taking that into account, we understand that the same behavior happened using your own account on a different device, but does it happen if someone else logs into your iPhone and tries that podcast? We recommend checking on this as the behavior could be account-related.
We appreciate your cooperation regarding this. We'll be on the lookout for your response.
I’m having this issue too. It seems tied to update 9.0.74 that was run 4 days ago on iOS. Podcasts in my list no longer show length, progress bar, or episode status (played vs unplayed)
Its the same on my iPad which is version 9.0.74.1123
Thanks for the screenshot @elkn2025.
You originally mentioned that this was not happening on your iPad or iMac, but did it occur for the first time after the update to version 9.0.74.1123 on the iPad? It would be helpful if you could also check in the app on your Mac, as well as if it's the same behavior in the Web Player.
Whenever it's possible, please ask a relative or a friend to log in to their account on your device(s) and let us know how things look like for them. This will help us determine if this is a account-related issue.
@Mjleonard17 Welcome to the thread! It would be helpful for the investigation if you could share all of the troubleshooting steps that you've tried so far, as well as the device(s) this is happening on, and if you noticed the issue with the newest version - 9.0.74.1123. The more info we have, the better, and you could even include some screenshots if you'd like. You can attach them via the Insert Image option in the post editor, just make sure that no sensitive info is visible.
We'll be on the lookout.
It doesn't happen on the iMac, this is the version which is downloaded there. As I wrote last night, I have tried to log in on another iPhone and it is the same on other phones as well. There was an update to Spotify which was released August 28, I guess that's when the problem started and when I downloaded that version to the iPad, the length of episodes, whether the episodes have been played or not is not displayed correctly.
I have checked the webplayer and everything is displayed correctly there, except for the number of episodes I have added to My episodes (it says 436 episodes, I have 260 on my iPhone, iPad and Spotify on iMac).
This is from the webplayer
This is from the app on iMac.
I have checked on a friend´s phone, Android with Spotify version 9.0.74.1121. Everything is fine there.
have the same issue on my personal iphone (iOS 18.6) but no problem with my company iPhone (iOS 18.5) both with the app version 9.0.74
just updated my iOS to 18.6.2, also didn't work
Same here, just updated to iOS 18.6.2, it didn't resolve the problem.
