My Question or Issue

I keep trying to play my local files that I downloaded onto my computer on my phone but nothing has worked. I have tried everything and no matter what I do nothing will work.

Thanks for reaching out to us and sorry for the late raply.

 

To start with you'll need to make sure that the files can be played on your PC, so that you'd be able to successfully sync them to mobile.

 

You can begin by performing a clean reinstall of the app (instead of a regular one) on both your phone and computer. If you have a Windows 10 OS on your computer, we'd recommend that you download the app from the Microsoft store.

 

Then, it will be a good idea to remove all the local files you've uploaded on the app and try syncing them again. It might be good to create new folders with the files and connect those.

 

If everything looks okay on desktop you should be able to add the local songs to playlists and download them to your phone as well. Make sure that you've switched on Enable sync from desktop on your phone in Spotify's settings and that your firewall doesn't block Spotify.
