After the update from 0.9 to 1.0 version, Spotify lost its ability to recognize my iPhone device on the desktop app. There used to be an option to see your device through the left side panel, and you could select if you want to sync the entire playlist or just the one you want manually. First of all, we don't see this menu anymore after the big patch. Secondly, because of the loss of this feature, I can't sync my local files anymore. When I try to play them on my phone, it says that they're not sync. OK, how will I sync them when both of them are activated but don't see each other?
Solved! Go to Solution.
The devices section will be coming back in a future update.
In the meantime:
You won't be able to see an indication in the desktop client that the device is paired with the desktop client. But as long as they both are on the same WiFi network you should be able to trigger the local files sync by toggling the offline toggle on the playlist on your device. Just make sure that the local files are in a playlist of their own so that this will work.

That doesn't work as a troubleshoot the date of this reply. I've deleted both apps and resynced and nothing happens.
I am unable to sync local files being on the same wifi as well. Been trying for over an hour, even tried different file types, nothings worked.
