Local files not syncing

Local files not syncing

Hello,

today I found my local files are not syncing from MacBook Pro to my iPhone X and iPhone SE. 

 

- tried uninstall app on all devices and install again

- read this FAQ, didn't help it (https://support.spotify.com/us/using_spotify/features/listen-to-local-files/)

- tried add local files to another playlist, still not syncing

 

All devices are in the same Wifi network. Any way to fix that please? Have some audio files which aren't on Spotify and will be really happy if I will have these songs in my iPhone.

 

Have checked "Download playlist" in my iPhone of course. I think problem started after update to iOS 11.3

Hello,

If you are experiencing:

A. Grey title in Playlist

B. Cannot play mp3/m4a on iPhone

 

Please make sure the songs import into Spotify: 

a. Not protected by DRM

b.In supported format (https://support.spotify.com/us/using_spotify/features/listen-to-local-files/)

 

Steps:

1.Make sure your computer and mobile devices (iPhone) in the same WiFi network.

2.Remove the playlist which you find the problem

3.Remove and re-add the "Local Sources" - Make sure all songs synced.

3.1 Reopen Spotify app (MAC) [in case if you added too many songs] [Recommend to do]

4.Make sure all the songs which added can be played in Spotify (Mac)

5.Make whole new playlists (Recommend using different name from preventing sync error)

6.On Mac, check all the songs in playlist whether they can be played or not.

7.Download playlist on your devices(iPhone)

tried to connect to 2GHz wifi at home (curently connecting to 5GHz) and local files synced perfect. Any idea why it didn't work on 5GHz?

Do you mean 2.4GHz can work for you or 5GHz ?

sync doesn't work with 5GHz wifi

It sounds really odd. But no worry. I'd recommend you contact Spotify support for technical issue:
