My Music not showing up on iPhone

Solved!

My Music not showing up on iPhone

Hi everyone,

I love this update, but My Music seems to be filled with a bunch of bugs.

Yesterday, I added the song "Only Time" to My Music on my desktop. I then left the house to use Spotify on the go and My Music is no longer showing up. My custom playlists are still there, but when I go to the Songs, Artists or Albums tab, the App prompts me to Discover new music.

However, all my music is still showing up on the desktip. Furthermore, when I look for songs on my iPhone that I have already added to my music, the app wants me to add it again. It's like my desktop music and mobile music got split into two different worlds.

A seperate issue: I cleared out my Starred playlist after the introduction of My Music, but the count still shows that I have 10 songs in there. It's not a big issue, but I have minor OCD and it bothers me that the App is telling me that I have 10 songs in the playlist when there are really 0.

Thank you for the help! I'm not trying to be a hater. I'm a huge fan of Spotify as a company and love the designers and developers.

Please help!

Hello,

If anyone has this issue in the future:

  1. Launch Spotify on your desktop.
  2. Find a new song that you like.
  3. Add it to My Music by pressing the + button.

After about 10 minutes, the addititon of a new song seems to force the iOS app to resync the My Music list. Now, everything is back in order.

The only other explanation is that a Spotify developer saw this post and helped me out! If that's the case, then thank you! 🙂

The songs "playlist" is a local playlist. It is meant to save favorite songs from different playlists. Or to temporary store some songs to e.g in the car or in bed.

The best thing to do is make a real playlist called "songs" and drop all songs music in this playlist.

Hello!

Sometimes it takes some time for syncing between desktop and mobile. Another issue is also when you select to many songs at once and save in Your Music.

Hi, this isn't the issue. Again, everything was working fine until I added "Only Time" to My Music on my desktop. Before that, I could see my Songs, Artists and Albums on my iPhone.
