PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the queue and up next functions

I use Spotify (premium/family plan) on my iPhone, Windows 10 computers, and Alexa/Sonos. Far and away the most confusing and frustrating part of Spotify are the queue and up next functions. They seem to work differently across different platforms and sometimes differently from session to session on the SAME platform. What bugs me is when I think I've played an album and it plays one song - then reverts to the queue. And why is there one thing called a "queue" and one called a "up next" - when they appear to be the same? Can you please make it simple, consistent, and intuitive? Or have an option to disable the queue?

up next is the next song coming up after the song your playing currently, and queue is when you click on a song and add it to queue. queue is when you select certain songs your have saved or currently playing to play one after another.

 you cant disable queue
