Playing Tracks offline

Solved!

Playing Tracks offline

I've just upgraded to Premium from free, well I set-up a new account.  I have selected a load of tracks and put in a playlist, which I have set to available Offline on the laptop and on my Ipod where I want to play the tracks when I get to the gym.

However everytime I go to play a track it simple says Song Unavailable - This Song is not available offline. Do you want to go back online?

Do I have to buy the tracks in order to play them on the Ipod, if this is the case I just as well get rid of Spotify and download the tracks onto the Ipod and play through Itunes.

I can't believe this is spotify and more a user error but I can't for the life of me think what I could do different.

Many help appreciated.

This shouldn't be happening.

Can you try to reinstall the Spotify app and then try again to download the songs for offline use?

Also, make sure that the green arrow appears next to the playlist when it is done downloading:

  1. Tap Available Offline to ON at the top of the playlist.

  2. A green arrow will appear next to the playlist when it’s finished downloading.

If you are able to play the song, then you should be able to download it. All tracks should be available offline.

Also make sure you have more than 200MB of free space on your device. Spotify tends to stop syncing once your devices reaches around 200MB of free space to save storage that the phone needs.
