Proxy and Sync issues

I use an academic network and have to have a Proxy set. I have the proxy set on OS X and the autodetect does not autodetect. 

Great, so I set it manually. 

Now I want to add some music I have on a NAS on my network to my iPhone. 

Well, the iPhone using a proxy connection cannot connect to Spotify and is not "seen" by the app. When I plug it in directly,, agaon, it will not sync. 

So fed up with paying 10/month for total frustration.

Hi,

I had this problem a while back, and I found the problem was in my firewall on Kaspersky internet security blocking the 2 from connecting. I found if I pause my protection therefore also temporarily disabling the Kaspersky firewall, they connected.

Please make sure Spotify is in the foreground of both devices and not in offline mode.
